Michelle Leonard
Michelle Leonard is a Singer, multiplatinum Songwriter, artist developer, lecturer & Publisher based in Berlin, Germany. She has been in the music industry since she was 16 and has co-written & had releases with many artists such as Nico Santos, Red Moon, AURORA, Robin Schulz, Alice Merton, Sarah Connor, Tarja Turunen, Generations (Asia), Lxandra, Darryl Jones (Bass: Rolling Stones), to name a few.
Many of her co-written songs have been used in national series (Hanni und Nanni, Ku’damm 59 & 63) and international series (e.g. Blacklist, Hanna, The 100, Reign, Good behavior, Frequency, Teen Wolf, The commons, river dale) as well as in Films (e.g. Wolfwalkers, Zweiohrküken, Rubinrot, Hotdog, etc) and Advertisements (e.g. Unicef, C&A, AXE, JEEP, Renault Zoe, FORD KA or Aurora “Running with the wolves“ for Vodafone)
Since 2005, Michelle is a lecturer at the Popakademie (University of Popular Music and Music Business) and she gives regular workshops at Columbia College Chicago, and at the SRH Hochschule der Populären Künste (College of Popular Arts) in Berlin for Songwriting. She has been a speaker on various panels (including the EU parliament in 2019 and online panel in 2020) and has given workshops worldwide.
Michelle was a deputy Board member @Gema and long term “initiative Musik” judge member.
In 2011, Michelle started her co-publishing company "DOLSIRA" in partnership with Universal Music Publishing Germany where she made a point of developing girls (e.g. Berlin based artists such as Elif, Alina, Betty Dittrich). Her edition "EERA" followed in 2018 in cooperation with BMG Rights Management (signings include: Morten Aamodt aka Dillistone, Venior and Eden Bleak).
In 2015 she started her own artist project "Solamay" which has won platinum status. She is currently working on her new solo project “The Leonard” The kick off to this project started with „Kill the Fire“ for Robin Schulz on his current Album „IIII“ (released in Feb. 2021) with more releases planned.
