Kompakt Distribution was established in 1998 by founders Reinhard and Wolfgang Voigt, Jürgen Paape and Michael Mayer as a means to support not only their own releases but offer the same services for other labels and artists from the community.


These family values remain a foundation of the company today but they have evolved over the years. Today Kompakt Distribution offers global distribution of digital and physical releases alongside an ever-growing list of label services so independents can thrive from the ground up.


Beyond offering and selling titles both digitally and physically in all key territories, Kompakt Distribution offers in-house audio mastering alongside full production and manufacturing services with Europe’s leading manufacturing plants. In addition, it can handle many administrative tasks so record labels are able to keep focused on developing their artists and releases.
